What if I prefer to read books rather than listen to them?

Some books require extra focus, like Unlimited 30 days trial.

And one more thing, when you buy something using the links in this post, I may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. This helps me to create more high-quality content for you. Thanks!

What are the pros of poker audiobooks?

Everybody knows that poker audiobooks are a great alternative to the physical act of reading because we can listen to it no matter where we are!

You could even play a poker tournament and listen to an audiobook, though it’s not advisable as you should ALWAYS focus on the game.

But the above is not the only benefit of poker audiobooks:

  1. Audiobooks make it easier to imagine and the story because the narrator can express more in audio than in text. For example, sarcasm is more easily communicated in an audiobook than in a paper book.
  2. Audiobooks teach pronunciation.
  3. They are better for the environment.
  4. You can increase the audio speed and still be able to grasp the knowledge.

Still, there are also some drawbacks to audiobooks.

I prefer to read some of the poker books because I can focus more when reading. But this is me, and not everyone is the same.

It really depends on the type of poker books you read (some require more focus than others).

I am a semi-pro poker player and have been playing since 2010. I specialized mainly in satellites for a long time. Nowadays, I play cash because it is hard to commit a few undisturbed hours to a tournament with my recently born son :)
